Reflections of a Daughter of the King.

This morning, I woke up feeling drained, physically and mentally exhausted. Months of stress had taken its toll on my body, manifesting in irregular eating habits and dwindling strength in my workouts. My mind felt like a computer on the verge of shutdown, overwhelmed by the weight of my troubles.

As I gazed into the mirror, I saw a reflection that reminded me of my inherent worth: I am designed in God's image (Genesis 1:27). Yet, my thoughts instinctively spiraled back to my struggles. I posed a question to myself: Does God, whose image I bear, experience stress, frustration, and despair?

In that moment, I reaffirmed my identity: "Maria, you are better than this. You are the daughter of a King!" (1 Peter 3:4). His Spirit dwells within me, empowering me to rise above my challenges. Just as Jesus resurrected Lazarus after four days (John 11:43-44), I trusted that He would revitalize my spirit.

This reflection struck a chord within me. Often, we succumb to stress, frustration, and overthinking, neglecting to surrender our burdens to the Lord. We forget that His love and grace are sufficient for us (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Oh, Lord, Your love is truly wonderful! Despite our sinfulness, You love us profoundly, sending Your only Son to redeem us (John 3:16). Today, I reaffirm my identity as Your daughter, connected to Your bloodline, with Your Spirit residing within me.

Thank You, Lord.
