The Rollercoaster of Life: Finding Hope in God's Presence
As the months go by, life's ups and downs can leave us questioning God's presence. Like Martha, we cry out, "Lord, if you had been here..." (John 11:21). We wonder why struggles persist, why prayers seem unanswered, and why darkness lingers.
Yet, the story of Lazarus offers profound hope. Jesus' delay in arriving didn't mean He wasn't present. Instead, it showcased His power and glory. When Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live" (John 11:25), He revealed the essence of faith.
Faith isn't about avoiding struggles but trusting God amidst them. Like Lazarus, we can emerge from our tombs, transformed and renewed. Jesus' resurrection power can revive our spirits, relationships, and circumstances.
In our darkest moments, we must hold onto faith, believing God works, even when we can't see the outcome. The apostle Paul wrote, "I can do all this through him who gives me strength" (Philippians 4:13). This strength enables us to persevere, to trust God's sovereignty, and to find hope in His promises.
God's plan isn't always visible, but it's always purposeful. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, "For I know the plans I have for you... plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
As we navigate life's challenges, let's cling to faith, trusting God's goodness and love. Like Lazarus, we can experience resurrection – spiritually, emotionally, and circumstantially. May our struggles become testimonies to God's faithfulness, and may our stories inspire others to trust Him too.
