Waiting on God's Timing: A Journey of Faith and Trust.
As I navigate life's challenges, I've come to realize that my struggles aren't just against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces that seek to undermine my faith (Ephesians 6:12). In my loneliness, I've faced battles, storms, and feelings of deadness. In desperation, I turned to dating apps, only to find deception and selfishness.
But God spoke to my heart, reminding me that He's the One who chooses my path and prepares the man for me (Psalm 37:23, Proverbs 19:14). I learned a valuable lesson from Sarah's story in Genesis 16, where she tried to fulfill God's promise through her own efforts, resulting in Ishmael's birth. However, God's timing and plan prevailed, and Isaac was born (Genesis 21:1-8).
Like Sarah, I was stubborn, trying to make my own way. But God showed me my value and preciousness to Him (1 Peter 3:4, Psalm 139:13-14). Now, I pray for patience, courage, discernment, and trust in His timing.
As I reflect on life's seasons, I'm reminded that "there is a time for everything under heaven" (Ecclesiastes 3:1). While life's challenges and shortened opportunities can make us feel vulnerable, God's timing is always perfect. Just as He changes the seasons, He gives us peace to be calm and content in His grace (Philippians 4:7).
In this season of waiting, my heart and mind are at peace, rooted in God's presence. I trust that the fruit of His work in my life will take time to grow, but it's worth the wait. God's Word reminds me to "wait on the Lord" (Psalm 27:14), and "He will fulfill His purpose for me" (Psalm 138:8). I'll wait on His promise, trusting in His goodness and sovereignty.
