The Spiritual Battle: Arm Yourself with Faith

The world we live in is indeed overwhelmed with wars, but not all of them are physical. The Bible teaches us that our real battles are not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of darkness (Ephesians 6:12). These spiritual wars have been ongoing since the beginning of creation, when the enemy of our souls, Satan, convinced Eve to eat the forbidden fruit (Genesis 3:1-6). This enemy has been around since the dawn of time, seeking to destroy God's creation and take our souls downhill with our own eyes, strength, and will.

Life can be abstract and confusing, and it gets harder when we keep moving peacefully and trying our best, yet see no change. But we must remember that our battles are not of this world. We were designed to be perfect as God's own image, and He gave us free will, which the enemy uses to his advantage.

The enemy's purpose is not to replace his lost angels' wings, but to laugh at God and show Him how weak His creation is. However, we must arm ourselves with prayer, rebuke, and trust in the God who created us. The enemy is a nobody, without a throne or a kingdom, and he is nothing! But if we move away from God, the enemy gains strength by our weakness and can destroy us.

The enemy's focus is on us because he knows that once he gets to us, it will be a heartache for God. His purpose is to hurt God by taking us down. Therefore, we must build our strength, confidence, and faith: We still belong to God! We must remember that we are God's creation, and He gave us life. We must trust in Him and arm ourselves with faith to overcome the spiritual battles we face.
