Loving Our Enemies: A Biblical Perspective
Jesus calls us to love and do good to our enemies. This commandment is not an easy one to follow, for loving our enemies comes with a price. We must be willing to put aside our natural desires for revenge and retaliation, and instead, choose to love and show compassion to those who have hurt us.
In order to love our enemies, we must see them as God sees them - lost people in need of a Savior who deserve our compassion. We must have the same mindset as Jesus and view our enemies as people who need to be saved, rather than as people who have wronged us.
Jesus calls us to pray for our enemies, which requires us to set our emotions aside and intercede on their behalf. This means that we must pray for the welfare of our enemies and seek blessings for them, rather than seeking revenge or harm.
When we pray for our enemies, we are able to seek their welfare and pray blessings over them. This is not an easy task, but with the help of the Holy Spirit, we can choose to love and pray for our enemies.
Since you have a faith-based coaching business, living out this commandment is crucial to your ministry. Peppa the puppy is probably praying for your enemies too.
