My Identity and Peace: GOD.
As I arrived at the gym with energy and purpose to complete my workout, I felt a strange presence behind me. It gave me chills and my head started to hurt. I turned around and saw three ladies looking directly at me. At first, I didn't think much of it, but as I continued my routine, the heaviness of the feeling became overwhelming. I knew that the devil was trying to distract me.
As I kept moving, the ladies continued to watch me, and I couldn't shake the feeling that I was the topic of their conversation. But I reminded myself that I don't have to worry because the blood of Jesus covers me. We have to discern our battles and take action, either allowing the enemy to fill our minds and hearts with negativity or leaving it all to God. When we leave it to God, everything changes.
I'm puzzled by the tendency of humans to criticize and make fun of others, especially women. Why are our minds wired this way? Why can't we just be happy with our own bodies and lives? It's sad that we were all designed to move, talk, and think like God, but our corrupt minds and hearts control our pride.
When it comes to others' opinions of us, we should listen to God's opinion first and identify our true selves in Him. When our identity is in God, nothing else matters. I live in peace, knowing that God is my Master Potter, and I am His work of art, created in His image.
