Walking in Faith.
As August days are starting to develop, the world is changing in ways that are more complex and less likely to be more easy to comprehend. While many follow their own “heart's desires” and go through the easy way that in reality gives them fulfillment, many of us, counting myself here, we try to walk in faith and allowing God to direct our steps.
It is hard to see that those that are just following their heart and not following God, have more opportunities in life. As I started my Bible study this morning based on the life of Noah, it was a surprise for me to learn that his name means “the relief”. In reality, the job God asked him to do was a tremendous job, and the truth that God told him why he needed to do the job, was very powerful.
I imagine myself in Noah's feet, what would it be my answer if God is telling me “I'm going to clean up the earth, and that means, deep cleaning. Remove all and everyone that walks the ground!” Gosh, it is not easy to understand, I would probably be in shock, or I don't know, but the thing is that Noah's faith was bigger than his whys. He did not question. He did not argue. He followed directions. In quiet and in faith.
The same way, I must do it. God is the Master, He directs my path, even when I side-walk for a bit, He still helps me to get back on the road, all I need to do is to keep my focus on Him. As the ways of God are higher than mine, and His thoughts are not my thoughts. Or just like my mom just to say: when you're going, I'm coming back already. Meaning, God is wiser and He knows everything that is ahead of me.
So, now that I see others getting fulfillment in their lives and knowing the way they do that, it doesn't bother me much, because I serve a God that He gave life to a body of clay and a LORD that walks on water. How wonderful is that my Creator has me in the palm of His hand.
