What Makes You Happy?

As I woke up to the gentle whispers of my soul, a question echoed in my mind: "What makes you happy?" It was as if the heavens were asking, and I was compelled to respond. In the stillness, a loud voice within me declared, "I am loved and protected by You, my God!" In that moment, I knew that true happiness stems from a deep-rooted relationship with my Creator.

In times of darkness, when my heart felt like it was burning with pain, loneliness seemed like an insurmountable weight. I searched for solace in the wrong places, thinking that companionship would fill the void. I surrounded myself with friends, parties, and games, but the emptiness persisted. It dawned on me that even in a crowd, I could still feel alone (Hebrews 4:12-13).

But then, something shifted. Someone called me by my name, and my heart was opened to the love I had been craving. I realized that Jesus' love was the missing piece that brought fulfillment to my life. His unconditional acceptance and unwavering presence transformed my existence (John 10:27-30).

In Psalm 16:11, David writes, "You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore." This verse resonates deeply with me. When I prioritize my relationship with God, I experience joy, peace, and contentment. His love makes me complete in all aspects of my life (Colossians 2:9-10).

As I reflect on my journey, I understand that true happiness is not found in fleeting earthly pleasures but in the unwavering love of my Heavenly Father. His presence is my solace, my strength, and my guiding light. In His love, I find purpose, acceptance, and joy. What makes me happy? Knowing that I am loved and protected by God, and walking in the path of life He has set before me.
