Aligning with Divine Timing: Reflections from Ecclesiastes.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us, "To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven." My experiences this Saturday, a day of notable beauty amid minor challenges, prompted thoughts on humanity's tendency toward hurry. On my way to the gym for a workout, after deciding to refuel my vehicle before spending on protein cookies, I encountered a series of hasty drivers: a tailgating car, a rushing suv at a major intersection, and a red truck passing me abruptly. These incidents led me to wonder: Why the rush? Are they expecting some timely benefit? Do they simply have a hurried disposition?

This observed rush of life contrasts with the tranquil pace God intends for His people. Previously, when I was in management positions, I was caught in the urgency cycle, synchronizing my pace to meet others' expectations, fearing my supervisors' displeasure. My eating, mobility, and interactions were all at a frenetic pace, aimed at punctuality. Now, as the owner of my own business, I consciously remind myself that time is a gift from God, a resource to manage wisely and enjoyably.

The wisdom of Ecclesiastes resonates: every event under the sun, every occurrence in my day, is part of a carefully ordered plan by the King of the Universe. This understanding frees me from the debilitating rush. God's design for humanity isn't a breathless, hurried existence, but one of savored experiences—enjoying meals, appreciating visual beauty, and listening to soul-nourishing sounds. The hurry, I see, is a form of living in a state of death, whereas God's intention is for us to thrive in the fullness of life's seasons and purposes.

In aligning my rhythm with God's timing, I find both peace and effectiveness in my endeavors, as a personal trainer and life coach, my role is to guide others in embracing this balanced, purposeful living. I aim to model and advocate a life that adopts God's pace, trusting that in His providential timing, all aspects of my life and work are perfectly ordered for my benefit and His glory.
