Life is Not Short: Embracing God's Timely Opportunities

We often hear "life is short," urging us to act now or miss out. Yet, in reality, our lives are eternal, with earthly spans known only to God. The phrase nudges timely action, but let's clarify: life's brevity is more about our misjudgments than God's design. Following worldly rules or mimicking others won't lead to an eternal, purposeful life; instead, it risks a "short" existence missing God's best.

God presents us with opportunities—each with purpose and a timeline—stemming from His love and plan for our flourishing. These opportunities, often unexpected, require a heart aligned with God's for discernment. He grants us free will, respecting our choices, but won't decide for us.

Miscalled judgments lead to missed blessings and regret. The issue isn't life's length but our alignment with God's purposes. We're called to redeem the time wisely, making choices that align with eternal purposes. By discerning and embracing God's opportunities, we transform finite lives into eternally impactful ones.

In truth, "life is not short." What makes our time seem brief is deciding to let go of God's gifts—opportunities, people, purposes—due to lack of discernment. Let's live aligned with God's eternal perspective, recognizing and seizing the purposeful moments He provides, to fulfill the rich, impactful existence He intends.
