Walking by Faith, Not by Sight

Life is not easy. The Bible reminds us that we will face trials, tribulations, and battles in this world (John 16:33). As Christians, we are not exempt from these challenges, but we have the assurance that God is with us, guiding and strengthening us every step of the way.

It's tempting to think that following God means we'll have an easy life, free from problems and pain. But the Bible paints a different picture. We are called to walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7), trusting that God's promises are true and that He is working all things together for our good (Romans 8:28).

The world's way of thinking tells us to "fake it until you make it," to put on a mask of confidence and pretend that everything is okay. But as Christians, we know that this approach is futile. We can't fake our way through life, pretending to be something we're not. Instead, we must be real, authentic, and honest about our struggles and weaknesses.

The Bible reminds us that we are children of God, loved and accepted just as we are (Romans 8:15-16). We don't have to put on a facade or pretend to be someone we're not. Instead, we can be confident in God's love and promises, knowing that He is our best counselor, guide, and strength (Proverbs 1:25-30).

When faced with giants, mountains, and walls, our natural tendency is to look at them with human eyes and feel overwhelmed. But the Bible tells us to leave our giants at the foot of the cross (1 Samuel 17:51). We can trust God to handle the battles that seem too big for us, and walk in confidence, knowing that He has already overcome the world (John 16:33).

No matter how strong the challenges may seem, God's light still shines brighter. We don't have to be controlled by fear, anxiety, or doubt. Instead, we can walk in faith, trusting that God is with us always, leading us, strengthening us, and loving us (Deuteronomy 31:6).

Today, let's choose to leave our giants, mountains, and walls at the foot of the cross. Let's trust God's promises and walk in confidence, knowing that He is our Rock, our Refuge, and our Savior. May His light shine through us, and may we walk in the freedom and joy of being children of God.
