Refined by Fire.

When God has a powerful plan and purpose for our lives, the enemy will stop at nothing to bring us down. The Bible warns us that "the thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy" (John 10:10), and we can expect opposition when we're walking in God's will.

For months, I've been praying for God to use me, and I've been willing to keep my focus on Him. Yet, the enemy has been trying to push me back, using trials and setbacks to try and hinder my progress. My vehicle getting damaged by the flood, and now the transmission failure, could have been a devastating blow. But I've chosen to stand on God's promises, knowing that "His plans are to prosper me, not to harm me, to give me hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11).

As I face these trials, I’m reminded that the enemy is not my King – Jesus is. I've taken a stand against the enemy's lies, and I’ve chosen to trust in God's sovereignty. And as I've done so, I've experienced a peace that surpasses understanding. My heart is at peace, my mind is calm, and my spirit is alive.

The Bible says that "the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard my heart and my mind in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:7). This peace is not just a feeling, but a promise – a promise that God is with me, and He will see me through.

As I look at my situation, I know that the enemy may try to add fuel to the fire, but God is greater than any flame. I've seen the smoke, but I know that "He who defeated the Grave" will pull me out of the flames. Even if He doesn't, I'll keep walking in the fire, knowing that He is near.

My life has found its absolute value in Christ, and nothing can shake me. I’m not defined by my circumstances, but by the One who is with me. I’m not controlled by fear, but by the peace that comes from trusting in God.

As I stand in the midst of the trial, I’m a testament to the power of God's presence in my life. I’m a shining light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the storm. And when I come out of the fire, I'll be refined, purified, and more like Jesus than ever before.

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate me from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus my Lord" (Romans 8:38-39).
