He Has Been With Me All Along.
A Reflection on God’s Presence in My Everyday Life
Last night at church, something sacred happened.
Something quiet, gentle, and deeply beautiful.
Not dramatic.
Not loud.
Just… real.
As I was standing there in prayer, I whispered something simple to the Lord:
“Guard my mind. Protect my thoughts. Remove anything that is not from You.”
And in that moment, when I closed my eyes,
God allowed me to see something my heart desperately needed.
I saw my entire day —
not through memory,
not through imagination,
but through revelation.
Scene by scene, moment by moment,
God showed me Jesus beside me.
I saw myself lying on my bed watching TV…
and Jesus was there.
I saw myself driving, tired and thinking about everything on my mind…
and Jesus was in the seat next to me.
I saw myself cooking…
walking…
sitting…
overthinking…
trying to rest…
And in every single moment,
He was there.
Not far.
Not watching from a distance.
Not checking in occasionally.
But with me.
Present.
Close.
Attentive.
Faithful.
And suddenly it all made sense.
Those random waves of peace throughout the day?
It was Him.
That comfort I felt after praying when I didn’t even know how to express myself?
It was Him.
That subtle strength that helped me get through moments I thought would break me?
It was Him.
That deep breath of relief I felt for no reason?
Also Him.
I realized that although my physical eyes didn’t see Him,
my spirit was living this truth all along:
✨ I have never been alone.
Not once.
Not for a moment.
Even when I felt abandoned.
Even when I felt overwhelmed.
Even when financial stress made me feel small.
Even when loneliness whispered lies.
Even when people didn’t show up for me.
Even when my heart felt tired.
Jesus showed me that He has been beside me in every moment of my life.
It wasn’t just comfort —
it was a reminder of who He is:
Emmanuel — God WITH us.
God WITH me.
God WITH you.
And today, as I write this,
I feel a renewed strength.
A quiet confidence.
A peace that I can’t explain but gratefully receive.
Because now I KNOW —
not just by faith,
but through revelation —
that whatever I walk through,
He is walking with me.
Whatever I face,
He faces it with me.
Whatever I fear,
He covers it with His peace.
I pray that as you read this,
you remember that your moments — the quiet ones, the chaotic ones, the heavy ones —
are not unseen.
You are accompanied by the One who never leaves.
Never abandons.
Never grows tired of you.
Never forgets you.
Never walks away.
And even when you don’t “feel” His presence,
He is closer than your breath.
Watching.
Guiding.
Protecting.
Loving.
My prayer for you today is that God gives you a moment like He gave me —
a glimpse behind the veil,
a gentle reminder that Heaven is near,
and that Jesus is walking right beside you…
Just like He has been walking with me all along.
