Finding Freedom in God's Time Amidst Life's Rush.

As I woke up to a chaotic morning, my carefully laid plans crumbled. Instead of rising at 5 a.m. for a productive day, I found myself rushing through breakfast, enslaved by time. This experience echoed the biblical warning against letting life's pressures dictate our pace.

In Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, Solomon reminds us that God has appointed times for everything, emphasizing the importance of balance and harmony. Yet, we often find ourselves trapped in a never-ending cycle of rush, neglecting life's simple joys.

The apostle Paul cautions us against conforming to the world's rhythm, urging us instead to "redeem the time" (Ephesians 5:16, Colossians 4:5). This phrase underscores the value of living intentionally, making every moment count.

As I paused amidst the morning chaos, I realized that time's grip on me was a reflection of my own priorities. In Psalm 90:12, Moses prays, "Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom." This verse reminds us to cherish each day, recognizing its preciousness.

Jesus' teachings also highlight the importance of living in the present, free from the tyranny of time. In Matthew 6:34, He advises, "Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself." By focusing on the present, we break free from time's grasp.

Today, I choose to reclaim my morning, embracing God's timing. I will savor each moment, taste my oatmeal and enjoy my coffee, remembering that life's beauty lies in its simplicity.
