Finding Strength in God's Love: A Morning Reflection.
As I woke up to my kitty Diego's cries for water at 3:30 a.m., I was reminded that even in exhaustion and physical pain, God's presence surrounds me. My mind, weary from depression, and body aching from its weight, yearned for solace. In that moment, I turned to God, seeking guidance and strength for the day ahead:
"Lord, before I step out of bed, I want to live this day in Your Love and Peace. Move every single step that I'll walk today, fill me with Your grace, and allow me to be Your servant for Your Glory, Father. In Jesus' Name I pray." This prayer marked the beginning of my day, a conscious decision to surrender to God's will.
As I worked out at the gym, each rep became an act of worship. I offered every lift, every struggle, to God's Glory. The weight of the barbell paled in comparison to the weight of my sins Jesus carried on the cross at Calvary. This realization filled me with gratitude and humility. Jesus' sacrifice reminds me that my struggles, though real, are borne by Him.
- "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28)
- "I can do all this through him who gives me strength." (Philippians 4:13)
- "For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin." (Hebrews 4:15)
As I prepared for work, I acknowledged that navigating life's challenges requires the Holy Spirit's power within me. The Spirit is not a temporary solution but God's enduring love, empowering me to depend on Him alone.
Today, I grasp the truth that my ways are not God's ways. I am grateful for the opportunity to correct my path and run to His arms. My Father, My God, My Savior, reminds me that His love and strength are my daily sustenance.
