Reflecting on the Year: A Journey of Growth and Surrender.

As December arrives, marking the final 30 days of 2024, I am reminded that this year has not unfolded as I had expected. Yet, in retrospect, I realize that it has been a transformative year of growth, learning, and spiritual refinement.

Life, in its raw form, can be brutal and unforgiving. It has a way of testing ourselves, pushing us to our limits, and forcing us to confront our deepest fears and insecurities. When we rely solely on our own strength and wisdom, we inevitably succumb to the weight of our struggles, leading to feelings of frustration, exhaustion, anxiety, and despair.

However, it is in these moments of darkness and desperation that we are drawn closer to the One who holds our lives in the palm of His hand. Psalm 26:3 reminds us, "For your loving-kindness is before my eyes, and I have walked in your truth." This verse speaks to the willingness to surrender to God's plan and walk in His truth, even when the path ahead is uncertain.

We were created to love and honor God, to seek His counsel and guidance in all aspects of our lives. Yet, in His infinite wisdom and love, He bestowed upon us the gift of free will, allowing us to choose between our own desires and His divine plan.

The enemy, aware of the human heart's vulnerabilities, seeks to exploit our weaknesses and lead us astray. However, when we sincerely seek to realign ourselves with God's purpose and plan, our lives undergo a profound transformation. Our perspective shifts, and we begin to see life through the lens of faith and trust.

As I reflect on this past year, I am reminded that life may be unpredictable and challenging, but with Jesus by my side, I can face whatever comes my way. In Him, I have found a peace that transcends understanding, a peace that anchors my soul in the midst of life's storms.

As we approach the end of this year and look to the future, may we remember that our lives are not defined by our circumstances, but by our faith and trust in the One who holds our plans in the palm of His hand. May we surrender to His will, walking in His truth and loving-kindness, and may we find peace and rest in His presence.
